We recently decided to add some Wye blood to our genetic mix.  After observing the Wye Plantation breeding program for many years, certain genetic traits are evident that have improved the Angus breed for many years.   This closed breeding program offers decades of selective breeding for high carcass quality, strong maternal traits, and performance in a pasture bred program.  We plan to use the “Burtner” bull to compliment Ohlde genetics and provide improved quality seedstock for our customers working with grass finishing programs producing Certified Organic and natural beef.
